Submission categories:


1. Future of Nutrition Award

This awards an organisation or company for actively contributing to and supporting pioneering ideas or educational initiatives likely to disrupt accepted food supply systems (beyond 5 years). Preference will be given to entries introduced within the last 2 years.

2. Sustainability Champion Award

This awards an organisation or company for a measurable sustainability strategy that champions environmental or social sustainability in the F&B industry. Preference will be given to entries introduced within the last 2 years.

3. Organic Champion Award

This awards an organisation or company for promotion of the organic category through improvement of traceability, growth of product lines, cost-savings or any other innovative ways contributing to the availability of organic products in the F&B industry. Preference will be given to entries introduced within the last 2 years.

4. Clean label & Natural Innovation Award

This awards an organisation or company that has developed the best clean label ingredient or process in terms of sensory and physical properties or application costs. Preference will be given to entries introduced within the last 2 years.

5. Functional Innovation Award

This awards an organisation or company for the development of the best ingredient or application in terms of proven functional properties beyond basic nutritional value. Preference will be given to entries introduced within the last 2 years.

6. Reformulation Innovation Award

This awards an organisation or company that has developed the best solution (natural or synthetic) for increasing fibre content or reducing salt, sugar or fat whilst maintaining or enhancing the sensory (flavour, texture) and physical properties of the ingredient replaced without increasing application costs. Preference will be given to entries introduced within the last 2 years.

7. Protein Innovation Award

This awards an organisation or company that has developed an innovative protein ingredient or process in terms of sensory and physical properties or application costs. Preference will be given to entries introduced within the last 2 years.

8. F&B Categories Innovation Award

This awards an organisation or company that has developed an innovative ingredient or process in terms of sensory and physical properties or application costs in any of the following four categories in the F&B Industry: Dairy, Bread & Bakery, Beverages, Confectionery & Snacks. Preference will be given to entries introduced within the last 2 years.

9. Food Tech Innovation Award

This awards an organisation or company that has developed an innovative processing or packaging technical solution or service for food ingredients or finished products. Preference will be given to entries introduced within the last 2 years.

10. Diversity and Inclusion Award – Sponsored by THE HUNGER PROJECT

This awards an organisation or company for creating a work environment that offers equal opportunities for all employees irrespective of their gender, race, religious background, sexual orientation, and physical or mental ability. 11. Plant-based Innovation Award – Sponsored by ProVeg International

This award recognizes an organisation or company that has developed an innovative plant-based ingredient or consumer product that helps the customer easily replace a similarly used animal-derived product without making compromises in quality. Preference will be given to entries introduced within the last 2 years.
