1. Eligibility Requirements

  • The Fi Europe Innovation Awards 2019 are open only to companies and organisations who are exhibiting at Fi Europe 2019. Only entry for the Future of Nutrition Award is open to companies and organisations across the Food & Beverage industry not exhibiting at Fi Europe 2019.

  • Preference will be given to products, ingredients, applications, processes, solutions, technologies, machinery, equipment, services, strategies or initiatives entered which have been commercially introduced between September 1st 2017 and September 1st 2019.

  • Award entries and materials submitted must be written in English and submitted digitally through the dedicated submission form.

  • Entry for the awards is free of charge.

  • There is no restriction on the number of entries companies and organisations may make.

  • Deadline for the Fi Europe Innovation Awards 2019 is 20 September 2019.

  • Candidates will present their entry to the jury, behind closed doors. The presentation must last no more than 15 minutes. This will take place 1 day before the event, on Monday, 2 December 2019.

  • The Fi Europe Innovation Awards will be presented on the evening of Tuesday, 3 December 2019.

  • The decision of the jury is final and irrevocable.

2. Terms & Conditions

  • Europe treats all material in the strictest of confidence, in keeping with data protection laws. The content of your entry will remain sealed from the public with the exception of the 50-100 word synopsis for external use. The synopsis for external use is the only material that will be made publicly available.

  • Submitted entries will not be discussed outside of the jury.

  • At the judges’ discretion, proposals may be assigned to a different category to that submitted if the content is deemed more relevant.

  • Only the short-listed proposals for each category will be announced.

  • In the event that the judges believe that there is no suitable or valid entry to win a category, they have the right not to announce a winner.

3. Submission Guidelines

  • All entries must be submitted digitally through the Fi Innovation Awards website.

  • Each entry is required to provide the information requested on the entry’s features, functions and purpose as well as answers to questions related to costs, technical aspects and legal clearance specific to each award category as specified in the entry form.

  • Preference will be given to products, ingredients, applications, processes, solutions, technologies, machinery, equipment, services, strategies or initiatives entered which have been commercially introduced between September 1st 2017 and September 1st 2019.

  • All answers must adhere to the word count specified in the entry form.

  • A non-confidential 50-100 word synopsis of your entry is required for press materials as this may be used to publicise the awards (no other materials will be made publically available without prior consent). However, the full details of your entry remain confidential.

  • Additional supporting materials can and should be provided (samples, documents, videos or other materials that will help the jury evaluate your entry).

  • Companies wishing to enter more than one award category may do so, providing that each submission + synopsis is written specific to the criteria and no entry is repeated.

  • Use plain text format.

  • In the text fields you may include outbound links.
